Enhancing Error Detection In Code: Leveraging Mining Software Repositories Techniques

Years of continuous development of IT industry have contributed to the development of numerous error prevention methods and methods that accelerate the process of removing them. However, these methods are still far from perfect. The answer to the problem of detecting and predicting errors in code may be the use of Mining Software Repositories (MSR). The paper presents the overview of works published in the Mining Software Repositories (MSR) field, the formulation of risk factors and examination of their impact on the occurrence of errors, and the presentation of an algorithm supporting the detection of faulty commits.
