The Impact of Technological Competencies On The Professional Performance of English Language Teachers: A Study In A District of The Tacna Region, Peru
The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between technical competencies and the academic performance of English teachers in a particular district of Tacna, Peru. The research utilized a fundamental technique, using a non-experimental cross-sectional design and correlational analysis to attain this purpose. The study population consisted of 40 teachers, who were assessed by questionnaires. A substantial correlation has been shown between technological competencies and the effectiveness of English teachers in an area of Tacna, Peru. This was evidenced by a significance value below 0.05 (p-value= 0.000000000000091050) in the Rho-Spearman test. The assessment reveals that educators' proficiency in basic technologies, pedagogical technologies, complex technologies, and ICTs is directly and significantly correlated with their perfor-mance regarding learning preparation, teaching, engagement in school manage-ment, and the advancement of professionalism and identity.
