Mapping The Intersection of Ai, Bi, and Sustainability: A Bibliometric Approach
This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, business intelligence, and sustainability. Using data from Web of Science, the study examines publication trends, thematic patterns, and intellectual structures. The results show a rapid growth in research activity, with a stable core of themes centred on AI, machine learning, big data, and sustainability, alongside several emerging but weakly integrated topics. Citation and collaboration analyses reveal a globally distributed research community and a concentration of influential journals in sustainability and engineering domains, while business- and management-oriented outlets remain less represented. The study provides an integrated overview of this fragmented research landscape and highlights opportunities for future research that combines technological innovation with organisational and sustainability perspectives.
