Seguristmo: A Citizen Platform For Crime Reporting and Police-Validated Tracking In Panama

This paper presents Seguristmo, a mobile application designed to enhance citizen security in the Republic of Panama. The proposed platform leverages modern, accessible digital technologies to enable citizens to report incidents rapidly and intuitively, as well as to monitor case progress over time. Segur-istmo integrates mechanisms for digital evidence collection, automated user assistance, and collaborative communication channels between the commu-nity and law enforcement authorities. The project emphasizes transparency, citizen participation, and operational efficiency in incident information man-agement, while adhering to rigorous standards of data protection and privacy. As such, Seguristmo represents a strategic technological contribution toward the development of more efficient, collaborative, and digitally aligned public security management systems.
